The Temple Beth Am Sisterhood programs include a variety of social, educational, religious, temple and community-based events all relative to these three principles – tikkun olam (repairing the world), brit olam (sustaining Jewish continuity) and kehillah (building community).
Programs include Sisterhood-led Shabbat services, caring committee well being check-ins, the Chanukah party and Purim carnival, co-sponsoring cookouts with the TBA Brotherhood, cooking classes, the Annual Christmas Day dinner mitzvah project for residents of local group homes for challenged adults, speaker series, comedy evenings to raise money for scholarship funds and more. We often partner with other organizations to co-sponsor programs surrounding women’s wellness, literacy efforts, food pantries, backpack supplies and Jewish culture.
Upcoming Sisterhood events are included in the TBA calendar.
E-mail TBA Sisterhood if you have any questions about joining.

Temple Beth Am Sisterhood membership includes membership to Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) and its Northeast Chapter.
WRJ supports the education of Cantors and Rabbis, URJ camps, the Religious Action Center, and social justice projects. Membership entitles you to participate in many cultural and educational events.
WRJ offers high-quality programming and resources, opportunities to advocate for the rights of others, and more. Above all, WRJ is a network of Reform Jewish women around the world who come together to create caring communities and make a difference in the world.
