Jewish learning doesn’t stop after B’nai Mitzvah! Our students in grades 8-12 have several opportunities to continue their Jewish learning in deep and meaningful ways. We meet twice monthly on Monday evenings at the temple to eat pizza, socialize, and learn with Rabbi Blumberg and teacher Sarah Rosenthal. In our engaging and responsive curriculum, students learn about how their Jewish identity affects their modern lives. Through a Jewish lens, students examine current social justice issues, Israel and its history, Holocaust studies, Jewish holidays, conversational Hebrew, and more. As part of our Upper School, Rabbi Blumberg prepares teens for joyous Jewish milestones: 10th-grade students study for Confirmation and in 12th grade, students graduate from our Upper School program.
J-LOFT (Jewish Learning Opportunities for Teens) brings Jewish teens from the Metrowest area together for Jewish learning, social events, service activities, and trips. Rabbi Blumberg and other Metrowesst clergy teach in the program. Students have the opportunity to participate in a track with the Religious Action Center (RAC), culminating with a trip to Washington, DC with the L’Taken program.
