Volunteer Choir

Under the direction of Cantor David Wolff, the Temple Beth Am volunteer choir helps to lead special, monthly Shabbat services, called Shabbat Hallelu. Shabbat Hallelu (Shabbat of praise) services are a bright spot in the Temple Beth Am community, featuring an outpouring of joyous, communal music-making. The TBA volunteer choir is joined by the TBA volunteer band, under the leadership of our beloved, long-tenured pianist, Dean Arvidson.

At present, the choir consists of the following members: Rob Levine, Chris Amenita, Andy Miller, Jeff Sands, Ilena Williams, Dena Stetson, Merle Kushner, Carol Mamlok, and Robin Goldweitz.

The TBA band consists of Dean Arvidson on keyboard, Don Levey on guitar, Cantor David Wolff on guitar, Bruce Rakusin on clarinet, David Emanuel on oboe, and Jessie Emanuel on flute.

The TBA volunteer choir is looking to expand! Any TBA members who are musically inclined and love to sing are encouraged to reach out to Cantor Wolff at cantor@tempbetham.org. You do not have to be able to read music!

For a taste of our Shabbat Hallelu music, we invite you to enjoy the videos below, the fruits of our labor during the Covid-19 pandemic.
