Temple Beth Am Privacy and Distribution Policy: Opt-In Agreement

Temple Beth Am Privacy and Distribution Policy Acceptance --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Temple staff and Board of Trustees have implemented this privacy policy to keep congregant and recipient information secure. In accepting this agreement I hereby acknowledge that I have read the policy and am opting in to the electronic distribution of content via email and download. 1. Any emails sent by the Temple will be clearly identified, and will always list recipient email addresses in the ‘BCC’ field to keep email information secure. 2. This policy is not meant to prohibit or hinder normal operations of the Temple, which include committee online discussions, person-to-person transmissions, onlinedocument review, and the like. 3. As a Temple community we must all be aware of exposing email addresses to the outside world, and as such each of us should use the 'BCC' protocol as much as possible when emailing to addresses gathered from Temple sources. If an individual is found to be repeatedly abusing this policy, appropriate action may be taken at the discretion of the Temple to restrict or remove that individual from all future email distributions. 4. Third-party Use of Confidential or Personal Information a. Temple Beth Am will not sell or otherwise distribute your confidential or personal information to any Third Parties, without your prior express and active approval. b. Temple Beth Am does not allow any third party individuals or organizations (even other Jewish organizations) to directly communicate to our list of congregants and affiliated individuals in aggregate for any reason under any circumstances. This does not preclude an individual from registering or opting in to a Third Party distribution list. If we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on the Temple Web Site and email them to you so that you will always be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. The Temple will never release any personal information without your explicit consent. Temple Beth Am’s policies and procedures for handling confidential information have been created with the understanding that Internet technologies are still evolving and that Internet communication methods are continuing to evolve to meet the needs and opportunities of the changing technologies. As a result, these policies and procedures are subject to change.
